• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2008 TE610 Mod Master List?

Grump

Husqvarna
A Class
:) Hi,
I bought my 2008 TE610 a few years ago and haven't really rode it much, in fact it only has 212 miles on it. I like to see all the mods that ultimately appear as the bikes go through their paces and then do them all at once if possible. The clutch washer one I just found out about yesterday. So, is there a master list of all the mods for the TE610 somewhere to make sure I don't miss any? I bought a MCCT and a spare timing chain and have the woodruff key for the balancer shaft possible issue because of a possibly improperly torqued nut, and I ordered the washer for the clutch. I still have to do the powerup mod but that is an extra. I love the bike but want to make it bulletproof before I can trust it.
Thanks,
G

I'd recommend the power up kit right off the bat. My bike was scary lean before installing it. Based on the thrashing my uptite skip plate has taken Im guessing its saved me some expensive repairs.

Over on Advrider under thumpers there is a bike specific index thread with a section for the 610. Pretty much everything you need to know is over there.

Thanks for the info...I thought I knew most of it but this clutch washer thing surprised me.

Do something with the seat! I went with XPC Racing. It is so much better. This is the first bike that I've ever really added to besides replacement stuff. Precision Concept lowered and revalved the suspension. Leo Vince slip on and power up plug. Safari 25 liter tank. Highwaydirtbikes hand guards and protector for the Trailtech Voyager. Uptite skidplate and axle nut. My stock battery failed 30 miles from Lakeview Oregon. It was a long tow behind my buddies Xchallange. Replace it with something decent. Great bike.

Thanks for the added info. What is the best/cheapest place to get the Leo Vince slip on from? Seem I researched this a year or two ago and there was a place in Washington or Oregon that had them for $350. Does that sound about right?
