  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2007 TC510 locally for sale

yzrider

Husqvarna
AA Class
Found one for sale for under 2 grand. Says its been stored most its like and is low hours. The only picture he had shows it to look good but hard to tell from one shot. I might go see it this week.

It has 50mm forks right? Were there any big changes to the 08 and 09 tc510? The tests I read for them were very positive cant find any of 07 though.

Any things to be aware of? could possibly have both ends of the spectrum/ with my 04 cr125 and the tc510. The little scream and the big block bruiser.

Any reliability issues or weird traits? Parts are scarce from online vendors but can still get by im sure without an issue. I really thought I was done with 4 strokes but this 510 has got me thinking again!

The 09 TC 510 does have 50mm forks. The TC is mostly the same as the TE/TXC so parts really shouldn't be a problem. The price is certainly good !

The 50mm's where introduced in 2006, keep in mind the ones on the 2009 are a different fork than the 2006 models. Also the TC models usually got a cooler version then the TE line.

the bike im looking at is a 2007. i was referring to reviews i read of 08 and 09s.

thanks though sounds like a solid bike!
