  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 2002 WR 360 Exhaust Help/ Advice

Hi Guys,

I have a 2002 Wr 360 and am looking for a different aftermarket exhaust option (im in australia). I am having some trouble in locating an aftermarket exhaust specifically for the 360.

I was curious as to whether or not an aftermarket exhaust for a different bike would be safe to use. I know the mounting holes ect. may not line up, but would it be safe to use on the engine?

Thanks for your help!

Im in NZ and I had to get a FMF Gnarley from the US when i squashed my original.
Check on Ebay for deal.

Second gnarly's
Am in UK an that's about it for 360's the 250 pipes have a different header bend I kept meaning to check it out but never bothered.

00-02 pipes seem to be specific when you look at Dynoport
my 93 and 99 seem similar but never measured them
FMF and Dynoport are the only ones I know of

DEP don't make pipes for the 360 unfortunately.

FMF are easier and cheaper to get from ebay from OZ but if you have the coin the Dynoport pipes seems to be the goods (except freight will kill us!!).

I did like the std SPES pipes on the 2k model mated up with an FMF silcencer but SPES are no longer around.

Ok thank you for your replys. so what about silencers? Could a silencer for a 250 go on the 360??

that is something I am curious of too
since I don't have a 250 I don't have one to try
they look similar but I can't find a definitive way to tell
the 250 parts are more available

Yes thats why i'm interested, because i would be able to purchase 250 parts from my local bike shop rather than shipping them from interstate or overseas.

Well try it, the header angles are different, nothing a bit of heat can't solve. And the pipe is smaller on the 250 so your fueling will be off and the top end may feel strangled.

pretty sure the stinger is the same size, but not positive
yes the pipe is a different size but laid out as such the tip of the stinger lands at the same location on the bike

So it may not be worth it then and may not work to well if its smaller/different??

the silencer yeah, give that a shot. it will work. i would not use the 250 pipe on the 360. its strangled enough as is. maybe the shop has a 250 engine they could sell you? :p

Ok thanks i might give it a shot! Naa thats why i'm trying hard to find something for the 360, cause i certainly don't want to give it up any time soon ;)

halls in the usa had a few NOS 360 pipes for sale cheap. the double wall pipes are restrictive but very tough!
perhaps dynoport could help you out?

yes dynoport is looking like the best and nearly only option... I might get the 250 silencer though that my local shop can get me.

They can get fmf turbine core 2 or the power core as well. is there any difference in these two?
