• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

20% off FMF pipes

i am glad they are offering us a few systems and the price sure is right.but... the fit is aweful!!!we put one of their new slip ons on a 2009 tc 510.had to take it to a muffler shop to spread the pipe.then had to use washers and spacers to get it mounted up.hopefully it wont fall off after he lands a big jump.the customer thought it might be for a different bike or that it was home made!would have sent it back but a new one from husky was $1500 and on back order.

I had the barest minimum of overlap between the stinger of my stock pipe and the silencer pipe on my Turbinecore 2/08 CR125. I wonder if an FMF expansion chamber would line up better with the FMF silencer...?

I called them the other day to see if they would offer a mega bomb header for the new motor 250. They did not act like they were interested at this time.

The Ty / Jardine thing might be the way to go. Tested.

Good stuff?

Jardine has been around a long time and as of late they are really pushing to cover a wide range of moto applications.
They are the exhaust system sponsor of ZipTy Racing from BH times (before Husky , ha ha). Ty and crew have been using/proving/testing Jardine built pipes on their 4T machines. Some (TC250 xlite) with chambers on the headers and some (450/510) as slip ons to the headers and maybe (don't know) even headers as well. So Jardine is getting some US Husky racing real use and developement from our top western team.
