• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1996 wxc 610 ...maybe?

So I've stumbled across a pretty clean Ol' husky. A'96 wxc610 for a good trade. I'm putting up my carbon fiber high end road bicycle. I've had too many surgeries on my right leg to get out and road race, and this bike is made for nuthin' more than racing and training to race. I already have an '01 te570 and a '99 wr250, so im not exactly hurting on Motos right now, but I love those left kickers. Is there anything I should be looking for? I'm under the impression that it's the same motor as my 570, yet it's dual exhaust. What say the rabble? Any wxc 610 owners out there? Pro cons etc... Just a novice enjoy/ collector needing some info. It's all appreciated.

The 96 610 is pretty similar to your 570. The 610 or 570 model received updates from time to time over the years but they always remained reliable bikes with a lot of available power. I had a 96 610 for a few years and it was a lot of fun to ride.

Nice, thanks for the input. I was just wondering if it would be overkill, having two big beasts. It would be cool to set the 610 up as a sm. If anybody has anymore info id appreciate it.

"too many surgeries on my right leg..."

You answered your own question! Go abuse your left leg. If it is a good trade then you will (can?) get your money back out of it.
