  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi, new member, I am looking at this bike on craigs list and I have not been able to find a good source on what this bike is really worth, can someone offer any help. It looks in good condition from the photo, I have not seen it in person as its a good 40mins away.

thanks,

it would help for you to post a link to the craigslist ad you are referring to so we can also see this picture you speak of

Likely a good old bike-6 speed- showa forks and shock I think- you will have to go through it- that is take everything apart and do the service - be surprised if there is grease in the linkage
will then last forever.

Looks to been outside alot....sunfaded plastic (ie the shrouds were a yellow color almost white now) and cracked seat cover. This means alot more hidden by heat and moisture (bearings linkage, etc) I would not pay that when for a bit more I could get something10-15 years newer

the plastic that year was white
but agree unless they are flexible I would look elsewhere
I always pull mine down to the frame to confirm everything is OK
recently I bought a very clean bike and did not, that bike is giving me grief

Thanks for all the replies, will start looking around for another bike

this could work they would need to be flexible
there is no perfect used bike
look in the classifieds on this site and you might find what you're looking for
one of them is a 360 in Reno, quite powerful but except power not really different from a 250

I recently picked up a 94 model wxe same bike and payed 1000$ for it and got lucky only minor things wrong with it. The 95's came with brembo brakes and marchozzi suspension. the only plastic that is really bad on mine is the back fender and it has a home made kick start lever other than that it's odds and ends
