• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1985 cr250 parts

I was wondering if anyone makes a pipe for a 1985 cr250, and I am also looking for a skid plate.

I am not new to Huskys entirely, I have an 1982 wr430, but I have never had to do any thing to is so i haven't found all the go Husqvarna parts makers yet. Any help would be great

Also I am Tim, and am new to the forum, have 4 bikes and just picked up my second husky.

Also does any won know of any company that makes a after market or nos tank mine is horrid. also could use side nummber plates. air box cover i need a lot parts i know some body has to know something

Dyno port (http://www.dynoport.com) seems to sell a high volume pipe they list it for 1986 not 1985 and have another for 87-88 in the 250 size. That and the matching silencer will cost around $450 if I can estimate shipping. I have boxes of used plastic parts from those but you seem to want new reproduction stuff or original unused. Before you get too far along I might suggest removing the swing arm and inspecting the pieces which move and where they attach to things which don't move. Never had a problem with the shock top mount or the low linkage mount but the frame holes and plates around the holes, the magnesium cases and the steel inserts, and the swing arm pivot bolt can be pretty bad and had some dubious repair tactics. The other thing to look at is that tiny gear on the back of the clutch and the metal holding the little pawl which transfers kicking effort to round gears.

Don 't have to have new plastic just better then what i have like my tank must have been painte d before and i flaking off. i wouldn't mind a faded one.
