  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Has any body else had problems with broken / cracked cylinder head support bracket on 2010 wr 150 ??? Is there a modified part ??? Or any good mods to cure thanks

No sorry in secure storage but bracket from frame down to head has a crack running from back to front not all way through yet just wondered if there was anyone else with this problem

cracked mine right through on my wr300, didnt even notice someone else pointed it out. left it off for a while, then just got a mate to make new one out of scrap ally. cant say i noticed any difference. some say its fine to leave off, others say itll affect frame flex characteristics or some technical jargon along those lines. highly doubt it would affect average joe. mechanic i know said that its possible for them to lift the head even(bit dubious on that-maybe if they were made of steel). mine hasnt cracked again so who knows. p.s. dont make one from steel!

Some are just junk and some seem to hold up for no reason. On my 02 CR 125 and 250 after about 6 months of riding/racing they started breaking every other week. I made new ones out of stainless steel and solved the problem. I have an 08 CR 125 now and haven't had any issues but I keep a spare set with me just in case. Make sure all your lower motor mounts are tight. If one of them is loose the extra vibration will break those aluminum upper plates.
