    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

12 port kawi injector & pcv with autotune anyone?

A guy has the 49033-0010 for sale on ebay right now, I asked him how many injector ports, he responded 10, he also has a picture of the plastic bag with the part number on it. Also Josh310 ordered a 0010 and it came with 10 ports.

Strange.

Did your part come in a bag with a part number unopened? It could be possible they changed the design from 2006 to 2012 for the part, but used the same number. If that's the case its a crap-shoot what you get if you order a 0010.

I have a 0011 on the way, it was $53 shipped from IndyOEM. I'll post what I get.
 
One of you needs to call JD and have him program one of his units so the low end has a much leaner range to work in. He can set them anywhere. I bet then you could fine tune it all to work great. Ultimately we need someone like Ioneater to take his bike to JD with the new injector installed and let him tune it on his Dyno. Then there would be a JD in the range we could all use for a new injector :cheers:

Shoot me a price on the correct 12 hole kawi injector and I'll work on getting a date with JD;)
 
Just posted this in another thread-

"I have the 10 hole as well. My bike is stock (powered up 11 TE 250) and has always ran very good, no bog but a bit flat on the bottom. The first time I installed the injector it made crazy power in the mid and top but also made a huge bog in the bottom. I couldnt tune it out with ibeat. I just got the JD fuel tuner from motorsportz and installed the injector again. This time I got back the excellent power in the mid and top and WAS able to tune the bog out of the bottom in minutes. It's still a bit flat like before the injector and JD tuner but that's ok. If I can get the big gain while the bottom at least as good as before then it's all worthwhile and usable.

It's snowed a few inches here and gotten cold so the tractions gotten pretty bad and it's still deer hunting season so I don't know if I'll get any more tuning time in this year. I can say I'm now pretty sastified and have barley begun any extensive tuning with them. I'm really hopping to ditch my 12 tooth front sprocket for the 13 to get rid of all the short shifting."

My bike has the stock arrow exhaust, DB killer, stock ECU, JD tuner and 10 hole Kawi injector.

I like Motorsportz idea about contacting JD about their tuners range. I think I'll do that cause I have a couple other question anyway. I'd happily send mine to them over the winter if they think they can do anything.

as i understand i can put the Kawi 49033-0011 with my original ECU (TE 250 2010), original exhaust (without the CO sensor and all the crap inside it)
and i have the power commander.
so...
it sould run great in this setup?
any thing else?
 
I have the 11 txc 250. Upgraded to the 12 ecu and 12 port injector. Stock exhaust. Runs awesome but it is too loud for my taste. I also have the LV X3 silencer...nice and quiet but feels choked up. Will try the FMF silencer next.
