  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

'12 Husky TE310 KickStarter Lever Help Needed

brettob

Husqvarna
C Class
Hi Husky friends! I have been struggling to get a KickStarter Lever for this new bike to me. The electric start has been removed, and the kickstart lever was missing upon purchase. I ordered a 2012 TE310 Lever from a motorcycle reseller and the diameter for the shaft was too big. I ordered a Moose Racing Lever (KTM/Husq 80-0563-00-60) and it is also too big of a diameter to fit the shaft.

This made me start to think that I just might have a weird shaft size in my bike. CAN ANYONE MEASURE THE DIAMETER OF THIER KICKSTARTER SHAFT? This way I could compare it to mine.

Here are my measurements in both inches and metric:

0.605 inches
2012 Husky te310 Shaft in inches.jpg

and 15.35 in mm
2012 Husky te310 shaft is metric.jpg

On the shaft, there is 30 indented spline grooves if I counted them correctly.

The Husky kickstarter part number is 8000H2252 or 8000A7092 and is used on 2010,11 TE/TXC?TC 250's and 2013 TE/TXC/TC 250 and 310's if my check is correct.

If anybody can help me with this information or on where I can get a Kick Starter Lever for this bike, it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

There was an update kit available due to the splined shafts breaking. You might want to try to find an updated shaft and use the kickstarter you bought.
