  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Can someone explain this in "dummies" terms to me? I'm trying to figure out how to use this and can't seem to grasp the manual.

So no one knows how to use this computer feature?? The manual says to hold the button down to clear, push again to do _____ push again to _____ Ect Ect. Every time I press the button it starts the clock, press it again and it stops it for just a few seconds and the timer continues to run. Any ideas?
 
I went through the same thing...George told me to disconnect the battery...then re-hook it up. It worked then...
 
I think it is my lack of understanding. It seems to function, I just don't know doing what. When I get to this function, I press and hold the button for 3 sec. A timer starts. I press it again and the timer pauses flashing for a few seconds, then continues counting but restarts at 003.33. I press it again and now a little upward pointing triangle shows up on the upper LT screen, the counting pauses, flashing and restarts from 003.33. Press it again. The up pointing arrow changes to a downward pointing arrow, pauses flashing and restarts. Ect Ect Ect forever and ever amen.

I was hoping to be able to use this at an enduro this weekend but I'm drawing blanks.
 
I have an 08 TE510 and I was just going to ask similar question on this function! "forever and ever amen"- you owe me a keyboard! Mine has coffee all over it now!
