  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc '09 WR/CR 125 IMS 3.2 Gal Tank

I got an email from Scot Harden today. Husky, Hall's and IMS are starting work on 3.2 gallon tank for '09 WR/CR125. Tank should be availible in 40 days. Good deal, but I may still consider other options if it's the same style as the '08-'09 TE/TXC tank. I'll buy one, but one of you guys might get a good deal on it used!;)

I talked to Jay Hall about the tank. It's going to be 125 specific, so no fuel pump pickup issues. The fuel will fill in the wasted space over engine, not in the shrouds like IMS '08-'09 TE/TXC tank. He also may flatten top some. Sounds good!

This info coupled with the Heroes deal extended through July is pushing me over the edge, I might just have to get another tiddler before long.

AWESOME********************************************************************************!!

2 things....

- PLEASE leave room for the damper mount

- Do NOT add anything above the stock tank.

Jay said they will make the top flatter than stock, if anything. On the damper mount..... call Jay Hall and give him some input.

I really thought this would be the way to go.

Just e-mailed Jeff @ Halls....

I'm a Happy Camper. :D:D

I hope you do this Kelly, as far as I know Jay does not cruise forums on the internet so he won't see your post.

Emailed my suggestions earlier tonight and will call him Monday.

Just send up the Bat signal!

On the other hand he might want to relax on his day off. dunno...

Looks like IMS doesn't want to do a 125 only tank after all.:banghead: Jay Hall called P3 yesterday to Pow Wow about tanks with Lindsey. P3 had put any tank designs on hold because of the IMS tank. Hopefully they will come up with something.
