  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

09 TXC 510

Husqvarna
AA Class
Selling my CR500af and found a really clean 09 TXC 510. The only thing that has me concerned is parts availability. I race D37 so I'm gonna break stuff. Are parts availability a deal breaker?

I had the same bike that I was racing Baja with. Sold it 3 months ago.
I had no problems with parts availability.
Ty Davis at Zip-Ty racing did the motor and suspension.
After he freshened up, no hiccups or any issues.
That 6 speed was crazy fast for me.
The suspension Ty set up for was spot on for Baja.
The bike was way faster than me.
I would say go for it and give Ty a call.
He has a conex beside his shop full of parts from his husky days.
Ty will do you right.

Fat Daddy

I still have my 09 450
same as above

Shoot me an email if you have any questions

Gonna do the BITD Laughlin race in April with my son

Great bikes!!You will love the power. If thats the bike I have been seeing on CL for past couple weeks, that was a steal. FYI a Rekluse auto clutch works awesome on those bikes.

Probably the one (Bakersfield)...the ad didn't do it justice. The trail tech hour meter reads 14.8....it can't have 20 total hours ....bike is immaculate

The stand was Motosport.
asked about if any was available, and one came up on ebay

Take the suspension to Ty
He will make it sweet

Finally got a few miles on it.... what a beast. Gonna be dropping it off at Zip Ty for the suspension in a couple weeks. What kind of mileage are you getting at race pace? I want to race it this weekend in Barstow but still have the stock tank on (need to hit at least 40 miles)....if not I'll be running my '93 CR500. Thanks in advance

I could get 50+ miles on the stock tank.
With the 3 gal IMS tank, I could easily do the 80 mile loop at the BITD Parker 250.

Ty will set it up sweet.
Man knows his S****
