• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

09 txc 450 rear shock?

WHITEROCKET5.9

Husqvarna
AA Class
should i be able to move the rear shock on my bike with my fingers, id say i can "wiggle" it between a good 1/8" and 1/4". i tried to tighten teh bolt but it was tight already. didnt knwo if it was suppose to be able to have some wiggle to it or not but the bolts tight so thats not the prob if there is one.

Not sure ... I don't think the shock on my 08 TXC250 moves ... Are you just grabbing the spring and the entire shock moves, top or bottom or both ends? Is the back tire off the ground when you do this test to the bike? Maybe the little pivot bearing on the bottom of the shock's arm is gone out?

like if i grab the adjustment cannister"resivior"?? on back i can move everything. i can see the top of the shock movint too, is there a rubber deal in the topof the shock mount?? if so, its almost like the rubber is shot

OK, my shock will move move side to side slightly if I grab that silver canister attached to the shock and twist it but it feels like it is rubber mounted and cushioned...

If yours feels like metal to metal, you might wanna inspect more closely ... Do you hear any noises when 'hauling the mail' around your track?
