  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

09 TE310 Exhaust options? FMF? quiet?

Need to maybe replace the silencer on the Te310 2009. Tried to pull the can apart
and it won't budge, so before I destroy it trying I want to line up a replacement.

What fits? part number please if you know.

The Arrow is loud and with the packing gone it's REAL LOUD!
On the FMF site it lists 2010 but not 2009, is there any difference between 2009 and 2010 fit?
Thinking of the Q4 or other alternatives. I hear the the Leo Vince is quiet but you need to buy a complete system, true?

Any ideas other than ear plugs please!!

To take the stock can apart: cleanly take out all the rivets (drill), then apply heat (propane torch) where the rivets were (there is some silicone at those areas), then use wood block against the lip of the can (where the aluminum shell meets the stainless cap) and tap the wood (towards lip in the same directio as exhaust flows) with a hammer- continue taping at opposing edges- to keep it from getting crooked as it slides off. It does take some patience and gentle manipulation of a hammer to do right. Be careful- NOT to put the end(tip) on a hard surface and pound downward on the opposite end- there’s just a good chance that you end up crushing something. I laid it on a table and tapped sideways to avoid this- another person holding the pipe (pulling in the opposite direction of the swing would have been great- but I did it alone.

Or buy an FMF if they make one for it:thumbsup:
