• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

09 TE 450 on order

Droolsport

Husqvarna
A Class
I just placed an order for a 09 TE450 from Premier Motorsports in Phoenix! :applause:

Hopefully it will be in late next week.

May I just say what a very wise and discerning person you must be to have made so excellent a choice. :notworthy:

Yippeeee! Enjoy... :D

Remember that feeling when your going to the dealer to pick up your brand new bike and its Friday so you have the whole weekend to ride it?

:applause::D

Mine was a Tuesday. Had worked an extra long one on Monday, so I took Tuesday off. Stopped by the dealership and there was my crate! Oh that was fun. Yes, pics!!

Oh yeah.....love that feeling! Pics!

Not quite new any more as I've just passed 1,000 miles, but I still remember that first week not so long ago. Managed to sneak two separate days off work and disappear into the wilderness each time (or as close as we get to it round here). Ahhh, bliss! :D

To keep you going until the other pics appear, here's my little Husky complete with recently added MPS Racing decals, using the original side panels I finally got around to fitting onto the IMS tank:

Talked to Premiere today and they said you were coming in to pick up your bike. That's awesome! Bet that was the longest drive from Tucson to Phoenix of your entire life! Man, I love that going to pick up my new bike feeling. Expect a report when you get it all set up. Give it time to break in, IT WILL, and oh man, then the fun begins! Congrats, and props to Premiere for trackin down a bike for you in such short order when they didn't have one in stock. Another case of TOP SHELF service :)

+1 on that! Mine feels much better already than it did when new. Woohoo! :applause:
Always great to hear of a dealership going the extra mile to make a customer happy. Now looking forward to the report and pictures...

Premier and Olga the owner were great to work with, she found a bike and gave me a better price then another dealer. Plus you get a discount when you buy parts from them.

So far I have cut the kick stand bolt off, removed the decompression lever and cable and installed the competition tail light. Oh yeah, its fully powered up

After a few heat cycles I am headed out for a ride tomorrow morning. :D

Petem, What a beautiful bike you have with the Union Jack in the graphics.
Aw, shucks - you're too kind! :o

Can't take the credit though - most of that goes to MPS racing who supplied the decals - that's how their race bikes look. They have facilities to make the decals and they're happy to customize them, e.g. my headlight one says "Pete" on one side and has the WEC E2 logo on the other. They're good people.

And in the "how sad am I" category, I usually ride in the matching ProGrip "MPS Racing" jersey! All I need now is some talent to go with the gear.
