I recently picked up an '08 510 and since Husky's are rare around me so I've never heard exactly what is normal . Mine starts fine , idles ,but will bounce up/down , similar to a big block V8 with a big cam and how they "lope" . It doesn't sound like a miss , remains the same whether motor is cold or hot ,but maybe does do a bit more pronounced when hot. It has shut down a few times when pulling in the clutch as I'm slowing for a stop sign or turn , starts right up hitting the starter .
It does have a nasty hesitation when going from no throttle to giving it some , then takes off with authority . Going steady down the road at roughly 1/4 throttle it does that up/down surging . Did a couple throttle chops , new plugs each time each rpm plug looked perfect.
My guess is TPS needs reset/adj. , fuel pump sounds good ,both cold and hot , but I can't say if it pulses pressure , which could be the idle issue or stalling when rpms drop . I do need to check/replace both filter and might simply get new upgraded nozzle .

Which efi controller works best ? Dynojet , JD , or other ? Does iBeat do the same tuning ability as the controllers or is it mostly just for codes and the adding/subtracting CO , but no timing options ?
I am familiar with some limited efi tuning , I have a LTR450 and Yoshimira PIM and it's interface FIMAK map adjuster plus some piggybacks on other quads . currently installing a Microsquirt system on an older bike.
