  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc 08 Cr125?

Might be able to get a deal on a 08 Cr125 like new.

I would probably do the suspension and EG 144 Kit?

Still competitive for Harescrambles?

What are your thoughts?

Check with ajaxauto his son is sporting a #1 plate. I love my 08 CR125 it's my all time favorite bike and at 51 years old now I had quite a few bikes. You looking at the one on ebay for $3,000.00? Get it!

I got an 08 cr 125 last year ... I blew the top end and got it 144'ed. I think if I knew more about jetting I not only would not have popped the top end but I probably could have got along just fine with it as a 125. My advice would be to get wallybeans spring kit and get the power valve and jetting dialed before you go 144. My 144 came back when the snow was on the ground .. no ride report yet.

I am seriously thinking about it. I have an 08 WR250 and will probably go 144 kit down the road.
Kinda been following you guys with the resilts your getting on the smaller two smokes.
I am getting older and might be fun to throw this around.
Does anyone know if my shock and fork will interchange from my WR250?
It is already resprung and valved.
