  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

07 Tc 510 Kickstand- Help can not figure out how to mount

i got the kit from the husky dealership and a kickstand from a 08 te 510 . bracket fits fine but i am unsure were the little piece with the two holes that holds the spring goes. the kickstand has the tab about half ways down to mount the springs. does anyone have a204-2007 Tc 510 with a kickstand??or know how it mounts.

The little plate with the holes mounts on the top of the kick stand, there is a little round post it it goes over and hooks on, then hook the springs to it.
 
You need the 04-07 kick stand to use with your bike. Husky changes the mount system in 2008 with the new frames. I am not sure why you got a 2008 stand but it really would be a lot easier to use the 04-07 stand. I may have one around, let me know if you can't figure it out. I think I am going to walker valley tomorrow (sat).

i got a 08 te stand from a guy on here ,m turns out its the wrong one, if you do have one around i wouldn't mind buying from you im just up in lynnwood. Wish i could join unfortunately this is my working weekend or ide be out there for sure. anyways yah man if you have one around that would be awesome.
