X-Lite starting issues

I thought I would add my 2 cents to all the x-lite electric starting issues. My weak starting issue turned out to be the relay. Before you buy a starter or change the gears, try shorting across the relay. It can develop a small resistance and robb voltage. Since the starter load is a very small resistance, the rest of the circuit must be in good shape so that the full voltage is seen across the starter

scratch that. It wasn't the relay at all. these things are ridiculous

It in fact was the starter motor. I still wonder why it seemed to crank good once or twice. I did take the starter motor apart numerous times. Anyway with a new motor it cranks with authority
