I got shafted last time wen I ordered one in thru my dealer coupla years back-$50 mistake! Anyway need a newy n ain't payin that again!

Had a look on ebay but not much doin for the oddball rear pin off these bikes. Anyone know where to get one at a reasonable price-halls/bills? Anythin interchangeable? Early ktm?

How hard would it be to make the expandable collar thing I wonder?

I think I bought a caliper rebuild kit that had it included. All balls - I think

Was not All Balls. There should be a Brembo number on the caliper casting. Just search for a rebuild kit using that number.

Are you talking about the pins for the pads? If so, just get the EBC MXS kit. It has new pins. I think the part # is mxs181, but can confirm.

I've got a coupla sets of pads already but price dependent mite be easy to get the EBC. I'll check em out but if u got part number that'd b good Steve. Wonder if u could use sum hard rubber/plastic interference fit instead of the metal collar? The R clip would still retain the pin.

Sorry, went to bed. I keep a spare mxs kit on hand for the spares and use the rear pads. Great stuff and fair price.
What metal collar are you talking about?

Shawbagga, I read on DBW that a certain model Honda calliper pin fits the brembo and are supposed to be harder wearing.
I can't remember if it was the pad pin or calliper slide pin. I'm sure that Nutty would remember.

Think that was slide pins Oldscool.

The expander/springy collar thing that makes it a tight fit Steve. Only on older style big rear brembos that 300 has

I made some pins myself out of M6x100mm A2-70 stainless bolts:

You just need a 2mm drill bit:

And no lathe (if you have one it would be easier:

In the rear I simply drilled the caliper to 6mm so that the pin can pass through as in the front ... In fact the pin of the pictures was for the rear

Post up a pic of the caliper with pin in ready to ride hurky. Intriguing.

Pin doesn't rattle or move around? Did u drill a recess for pin head section so it's flush inside caliper?
