    Hi all

Looking for some advice as on an issue with my wr125.

This is a 2008 model I have just bought, starts up fine and today I took it out, for the first hour it ran great.
Then out of nowhere when I started to open the throttle it sounded like it was going to die, the tick over still ran great but as soon as I try to accelerate it sounds like it's going to cut out.

Any ideas what this could be? Possible carb issue maybe?

I can still start it without any problems.

    Cheers

    John

Could it be a sticking carb float?

I would check the tank vent to make sure it is working correctly, check the screen on the fuel petcock (of course you could pull the fuel line and open the valve to check for flow), pull the carb and clean and inspect jets, float valve and seat and clip on the needle to make sure it's still there and reset the float level . How long since a top end, check compression . While you have the carb off take a look at your reeds to make sure they are ok. If these things don't get you going check spark plug cap and wire and all of your wiring connections, especially your grounds for good tight connections. Hope this helps
