How about street legal it ? Wr rear fender and maybe one of those small racks on the fender for some long trail rides . Blast through the trails then cut through some cool small towns and then stop and camp for the night ? Just my thoughts , I have always wanted to do something like that and I think that bike would be a good candidate .

Great idea! NYS DMV may have a different opinion, but I definitely leaning toward enduro trim. Thanks for your reply!

Someone had said this bike was once raced by a factory sponsored rider. Does it look familiar to anyone?

I got the same story with my 1985 400WRX. The work I performed on it turned up details like 24 year old brand new clutch, front and rear brake pads, and 1986 suspension link updates. Bears much fruit to the story of it being rebuilt by Husqvarna and given to the rider with a new 1986 400WR.

As far as to finding out who the rider was, there was a contact from the Husqvarna Museum that has access to the original assignment and of any servicing performed through Husqvarna. It was in a discussion with a Swedish restoration and he mentioned the contact that got him all information for the fee of $30

Does anyone have a contact for this person ? It would be interesting to see what (if any) history there is behind my 6 speed 390WR
