Where can I get some fuel lines for my 00 610? Need them to be really flexible as the new fuel cock with low level sensor has a different angled openings. Thanks.
I'd imagine a regular motor factors should have what you need. If you're going with the plain plastic type you might be able to apply some heat to it and form it to a suitable shape. BTW where did you get your low level sensor? Didn't think there was one for our year of machines.
Everywhere I look to get them they are all too heavy a pipe for the way it needs to bend. I got it from husky sport in England. They're great for parts.
Some pneumatic tubing might work instead. If it tends to kink at its tightest bending point slip a snug fitting coil spring over( or inside) the tube where it bends. Half way down this page http://woodworkerb.com/home/datsun-240z-rebuild/240z-fuel-tank/
Its a nifty little solution alright. Do you happen to have a part number for the fuel level sensor by any chance? Any mods needed to fit it? Come to think of it there is a plug on the loom next to the petcock and the obvious unused fuel warning lamp beside the speedo so there must have been an option for it.
Part no: 800098243 r/h fuel cock assembly. Think it was £25. You may need to route the fuel pipe coming from the left hand side around the back of the engine because the new right hand fuel cock has both openings pointing to the rear. One opening is an inlet and the other is an outlet.
How did your fuel cock fitting turn out? Is it an improvement over the regular tap? Bought one myself recently and planning to fit it soon.
Hey sorry I forgot all about the pics. It was a bit fumbly as the pipe coming out and into the carb had to be quite short and at a right angle but is working grand.
At what level does the light come on? Currently with the standard setup when I hit reserve and I top up it usually takes just over 6 litres so theres about 3 litres remaining.
Bought and fitted one to mine today. From an empty tank the light goes out when theres 4.5 litres in the tank, so its half full. Also found it odd that its linked to the Neutral light and it will only work with the bike in gear.
