Hi In the SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE CHART we can see that CLUTCH CUSH DRIVE DAMPER (SILENTBLOC DE L’EMBRAYAGE, in French) must be checked every 10.000 km. I wonder what the “CLUTCH CUSH DRIVE DAMPER” is (I have not a big command of English language…) Do you think is the “springs - cup washer device” that -as we know- some way makes similar effect as a “cush hub”? If it were the case, Husqvarna would be warning us about taking a look to it and replace damaged pieces in case we found them. What do you think? The weird thing about this is that all along the work shop manual not a word is said about checking springs and cup washers… not even about "cush drive damper"
The world of engines is full of "parastrappi frizione" should be checked and when worn must be changed. Simply My clutch after 5000 km View: https://youtu.be/omvLimwvF5U
Let's see The phrase "clutch cush drive damper" is translated into French as "silentbloc de l'embrayage" L'embrayague is, of course, the clutch, and "silentblock" I guess everyone knows what it means. As the bike was made in Italy, the original phrase is, as Rotax-655 has pointed out, "parastrappi frizione" . If I try to translate this to English language, it would be something like "shock absorver clutch" or "clutch suspension device" (Rotax, correct me if I'm wrong) . And, what apart "springs and cups washers device" makes the role of a "shock absorber" or "silentblock"?
"Parastrappi" in applied mechanics, a name with which elastic joints are also called when they are more than just used to eliminate or mitigate the dynamic stresses and impacts of subsequent elements of the kinematic chain caused by any sudden changes in the velocity or torque transmitted.
So, if I understood you correctly, i would be right "Parastrappi frizioni" would be the device (related to the clutch) to "eliminate or mitigate the dymamic stresses and impacts... caused by any sudden changes in velocity or torque". That is exactly the function of a cush hub, and so, acccording to the maintenance manual, we should take a look to the springs and cup washers every 10.000 km...
Although, to be fair, some folks have reported about broken cup washers with only 3.500 in the clock… may be because of (as it has been said a lot of times) different quality washers production http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/help-debris-found-in-my-engine-610-630-clutch-issues.16604/
The problem with the model 610 and the model 630 are often confused on this forum. However, in order to avoid damage, you must intervene when you hear noise or tear on the engine. Every 10000 km you must clean the filters in the crankcase and at the same time check the "parastrappi frizione" play. Mechanical piece that is subject to wear and should therefore be checked periodically
Great, Rotax... but I must say I'm a bit confused. Let's see Why do you think this is related with the fact that cups washers get broken? And -according to the manual page that you have uploaded- which part of the clutch is "clutch housing" (2) and "plate" (1) to check "A" clearance? Thank you
The measurement must be between 30 (clutch housing) and 57 (friction disc) On the te630 manual there is a translation error??
It would be great to make a video tutorial like this for the TE630 or 610 View: https://youtu.be/ONAaSloSEnk
