I came across this crank a while ago. It was given to me by a kind person who know's I'm into 390 Auto's.
Out of curiosity I measured the stroke and came up with 74mm. The 390 and 420 are 71mm. The 430 has a 74mm stroke, but as far as I'm aware is a full circle crank. This one has what appears to be a water pump drive on the left side.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree ??

But the 430LC Auto has a full circle crank does it not ? Or did they use this style of crank web on those ?

I think the bottom end is all based on the 390 auto, so it probably has a porkchop crank.

The spare parts book shows a bob weight crank and I have had a quick peak in a spare motor, I guess with all that rotating mass of clutch full circle fly wheels would be overkill!

The auto cranks I have actually held, the 420, 430, and 500 all have a shorter (than the standard shift models) rod pin because of narrower cheeks. They are all pork chop shaped as I call it. My guess is the intent is to have it rev up quick and have a minimum of weight. The 430 has a shorter drive stub as it has only one needle bearing where the 500 has two and the 420 has bronze bushings and the one way starting device. There is a picture in the 430 manual that really is from the 500 that can confuse things if you do not actually hold the parts. I am not sure off hand is the ignition key on the other stub is in a different location on the various models, the 420 I think is different than a standard shift 430/500.
