• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Vintage Husky on Speed tonight (Supercross)

 I saw ya. & I liked that they said we might be seeing Husqvarna racing supercross next year.:applause:

The buy-out was the ticket to the big dance ... Nothing is free and it does seem like a steep price but it is what it is.

The riders in the ama have got to notice what is going on and see a new paycheck on the near horizon for a few factory rides quite possibility (250\450) and maybe satellite teams also in the near future. Its wide open at this moment but ktm has got a defined model for dirt bikes already. Husky is just gonna be flanking them on the good side and we'll see where this all leads when real sales numbers come in...

Most riders have a 2 yr contract I think ... The crowd jewel is RV2 :) or already in-house RD5 :) or any of the other top guys... ktm\Husky can afford any of them and Millsaps just again commented it's good to work for someone who wants to win races.

Fantastic effort - fully geared up complete with Parrot and ready to go.......

When I saw it live I wondered if any one would own up to it.

As for Husqvarna in supercross next year - I'm of the opinion its just a white KTM, I'm still really bumed about the take over / invasion. Until they differentiate the product from KTM they wont be getting any of my money (even though I wont need to upgrade my riding gear) as its just a KTM. To stop production and not use any parts, just the logo, is just plain arrogant and I believe treats us as Husky faithful with contempt.

All my opinion of course, and sorry about the rant, nice looking 83.:)
