anybody notice that george's shop is no longer listed in the North American dealers list..??? anybody know anything ???
George parted ways with HNA....he's still super busy helping people from all over the world...talked to him last week about getting me some filters...
I just bought a bunch of goodies from him, all top quality. Skid plate, axel nut, throttle tube and bearning, collapsable levers (very cool BTW) filter and oils. Hes still supporting us.
George is a pay as you go cash kind of guy, I do not think the new husky likes cash sales, they prefer to shuffle paper on accounts. A lot of business like to run that way apparently.
Good luck George. The Beta's are a good bike getting better. A bit like where Husky was 3-4 years ago. They will continue to get market share. The latest Beta 350 did pretty well in a shoot out with the KTM 350. In fact was considered a better pure trails bike.
Good luck George ... Sorry but Beetta has almost zero history as compared to Husqvarna ... They ain't gonna happen here in the USA .,,, Did you see Husky is kicking some butt in the MX2 stuff in Italy? Yea baby ... AMA next..
i think when they put that new dealer in CM a stones throw from him it was writing on the wall. and then the dealership in long beach, and brea... so sad....
George has helped me out for years. I have the most respect for him not only as a top Husqvarna mechanic and rider, but a decorated war hero that made the cover of Life Magazine. I have gone to him for advise which he freely gives. He has a nitch and many loyal customers.
I think he'll be better off with less headaches and Beta will accommodate him and hopefully do a better job with parts and bike delivery. More time for Sunday Golf.
Sounds like the BMW influence is taking over, getting rid of the small but very knowledgeable shops. My local (kind of) shop is hours away and has only used Huskys on the floor. They can work on the bike, but when their main business is selling and catering to Victory, it gives one pause. I hope George hangs in there and continues to provide the same help and information for us Husky owners as in the past.
I dunno about that. There are still two Husqvarna dealerships in my town, and they are only a half mile apart.
Yep, two shops that sell Husky's in Escondido. However, they are very different. No offense to the guys over on Tulip St, but Ron Bishop is #1 in knowledge and service. He has saved me from myself several times. R/ Mike
If HNA wants to ignore the fact that George has brought so much of his life to the table for the betterment of the brand than they are sadly confused. They need to get the hell out of China and realize that is not the parts manufacturing capitol of the world. I am happy that he will continue to support the Husky brand and also do R&D on add on parts. So, no matter where or who you buy your Husky from he will support it through add on parts, service but not warranty. He is a good friend, an expert, a decorated war hero and all around great guy. He will always have my business before the other stores. Beta has come a long way and will go into the future now that he is dedicating himself to the brand. Many more years George!
