  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

txc 310 fan

The fan ceased on our 310 txc (2013)...will it run with the fan taken off and disconnected?

Oh I will....just trying to get through the race weekend. May not have one by then. Have one laying around you could fast ship to CT?

Ah...j st saw this. Halls had one in stock...already on the way. Thanks for trying....and yes...the 13 txc will run without the fan connected. I installed an oversized radiator and we run Evans coolant so we should be OK even without the fan for the weekend.

Mine works quite a bit! Maybe it's cause I'm slow and keep getting stuck in deep azz woods not knowing where the hell I'm going! ;-)

Made it through the weekend without problems. Gnarly New England mud rock race. Bike ran flawlessly. I am still going to install the new fan for peace of mind.

Hello,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to get some feedback on the 2014 Husky TXC310. I'm considering buying one out of Southern California from the dealership and was wondering if I need to request that the dealership address or update anything on the bike prior to me purchasing it i.e. any recalls/updates to the fuel injection etc?? any feedback would be greatly appreciated...
Cheers

JEHB,

I'd make a new post/topic (rather than "hijacking" this one) and I'm sure you'll get all the help you need on here... plenty of very helpful and knowledgable riders. Welcome, BTW!
