• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

turn signals?

Can Somebody point me in the direction of a thread for good looking turn signals for the 610? I bought some low profile squid LED ones, but their lack of brightness makes them pretty useless.

I would recommend you hit up Sicass Racing. I got some flexi-LED's from them and the relay.

I also had this page bookmarked from Electrosport.

Here's a pic from the front (I've since lost the Cycra guards and so the turn signals are in closer (by 15mm) now)

I added some squid-like low profiles ones, but I'm not super thrilled with their brightness.

Glad I didn't drill anything to install them.

Sorry for the hijack, but how do you like the Baja designs headlight?

Well, with the stocker, I tried hard not get caught out on the road at night. With the BD, I don't mind riding at night, but I try not to get caught out on the trail at night. If you want to be able to ride the trail at night, I'd consider something else.

The only time I do trails at night is when I'm scrambling to get home. I think I'll give the BD a try. Thanks.

If you want bright bulbs, these work well and are relatively inexpensive. They have long flexible stalks that so far have been hard to break.

They come in 2 or 3 wire versions. I use the 3 wire version, wiring the 8W filaments on the front for some battery load and better visability. The turn filament is 21Watts.

Model 60-1378 or 60-1379. Around $28 for the pair. The Buell lights are good too, but harder to get now that the dealers are few.

You can order the stock Husky European signals for around $60 for a set of four. They are very bright, plug right in and look like little arrowheads.
