While leading the 40B class in the Tecate HS long loop Pro Race, I tagged a rock (there were just a few sharp rock sections on the course....) and smashed and twisted my brake pedal into my 7602 billet clutch cover and up under it . This resulted in rear wheel brake lock up and time lost bending the pedal arm out. However with my bullet proof 7602 Clutch cover I was able to continue the race and finish in 2nd place in class with no case crack or oil leakage. I am sure if I had the light duty OEM cover on, I would have suffered the same fate as race leading Pro Husky rider Jamie Lanza and his cracked case DNF. High quality well built products, 7602, thanks. R

Awww, shucks:) thanks for taking the time to write this. Too bad your brake pedal caused a possible win, but glad we could do a small part to at least salvage a 2nd. Glad you are ok above all. Broken bike parts are easy to replace.

I hope your brake pedal didn't mess up the pretty logo!!

I should have some sort of contest for who can post up pics of the most battle hardened clutch or ignition covers.... hmmmm?

My machine is by far not one of the bling bling show machines Ive seen posted up.
Its very utilitarian and bullet proofed for my pleasure and it's a tool to get me through ugly terrain, and more scratches = more stuff/races/rides conquered with no DNFs. (that was poetic take on trail riding/racing my 08TXC450) (trust me 90% of my statements and posts are tonque in cheek, I sincerely hope I not taken too seriously!!) And yes the 2 7602 products I have are still going strong (Clutch cover and Carb filter block assy). Thanks for your products ColoMoto.
PS I will shoot a couple of photos for the record.

I know that, I was just poking fun at the ridiculous brouhaha that ensued after the size/design/location/existence of 7602's logo was
hotly discussed in another thread :D

Truth is I really love all you guys, we have a great rapport (French "re-poor" pronunciation in this case) here in the Cafe.
bullet proof her, ride her hard, take very good care of her, and she rewards you (this applies to my Husky TXC honey....)

    fixed it Sp

OK instigator chick and 7602 master, I still have not uploaded the post Tecate HS fotos with the pretzeled brake pedal, but this one is from post Tecate GP.
It shows the rock thrashing at the leading edge and scrapes from the pedal hits and wear from boots. Can you still read the logo?

Wowsa! That looks like a well worn bike in general, not just our cover. Definitely some good gouges and scrapes on that cover though.

I prefer to use the terms, well utilized(vice worn) per engineering design requirements and intended use. :)
