Te511 No Race Map?

I bought a te511 which had a fmf slip on. I went to do the "'power up'mod and seen the last owner cut the plug off and used a but connector on the two wire's anyway The dash never said it was in race map so I checked to make sure there was a good connection and it still doesn't show on the dash, am I missing something?

Your dash will say map 2 if jumper under seat is correctly connected. Map 3 will show same on dash map 2. Only way to check for map 3 is to plug ecu into a dealers machine to see or send off to Ziptyracing and have them reflash it. Dash will only say map 1 or map 2

It don't show on the screen, are the jumper wires the same color? they have a blue/brown and a brown/grey together
