Hi, I've been told 30-50 hrs is about the time to replace the piston, what are the symptoms that I should be looking for to suggest this is now due replacement. My bike runs fine however doestrogen seem to puff out a bit of blue smoke on hard acceleration but nothing to shout about. It also doesn't Ness start great when hot, it seems you need to open the throttle a little and eventually it starts up. Takes approx 5 sec of cranking.

I would certainly run longer than 30-50 hours.

Check the valves, change your oil every ride, and ask again at 200 hours?
