yeah... the ignition function is incorporated in the ecu. looks like you've found some solutions (although your bike is so nicely modified that I am in slight disbelief that no one re-mapped the ecu... but who knows).

    let us know the outcome.

While waiting for the parts I checked my 2 silencers. I have the stock 8538529 mounted now no insert.
Another silencer marked H1913 came with the bike. I've searched and from what I could find it's for a 2010 250 TE/TXC.
Are there benefits with that silencer besides the more easy insert in/out?

The 250 silencer is no good on a 250 so I dont think it will work on a 310.
The original 310 silencer is quite good as it is but you could have 2 inserts to it.

Ok thanks! Was out looking in the boxes that came with the bike and no more inserts. I remember I've seen a picture of a shorty version somewhere, is that the one you mean?

One is 26 mm and the other one is 23 mm. I think you have the 23mm.

If you check all that and still have issues then you need to address the starter gears as so many of us have had to do. The are a weak point in these bikes and when they go they make hot starts a bid big deal. There is a whole forum dedicated to it on here. check it out , just search Electric starts

They are hard to tell if they are bad. but if the bike clicks on a hot start like the battery is weak and doesnt have enough juice to tun it over but in fact you have either a new battery or a freshly charged battery, then in fact its probably the starter gears and/or the starter. I went though months of diagnosing this same issue.

I loved my 2014 bike untill that happen about 2 months ago. I have a stronger battery and it puched the starter out of the engine, taking a piece with it.
Since my 2014 301r is probably one of the last made bike from Italy, that problem could happen to all owners.

OK!! That's exactly what it does, clicks feels weak, new battery. But, that only happens when it stalls... If I deliberately shut it off, it fires right up. I'll try and fix the stalling first as it now stalls far to easy, imo where it shouldn't..

Make sure your flywheel key is not sheared.

Put a TC250 cover over the e-start and use it kick only.

You probably need new starter gears.

Done that but when riding Swedish enduro you need a starter so right now i'm driving the 2013 bike.
Have replaced the starter gears and will soon fix the starter and give it a new try.
The flywheel key was OK, but when replacing the starter gear i tourqued it to 75nm as in the book. That lasted for about 30 minutes. the second time i tourqued it to 85nm.
That lasted for about 2 houres. So now I tourqued it to 100nm and now it holdes.

What do you mean "lasted 2 hours"?

It sheared the key after 2 hours?

There are map upgrades from dealers for these bikes.
Waiting to get the HST off my ex-dealer friend to do my son's 2014 TE250R.
It runs quite lean, popping etc on over-run
I'll report back when it's done.

Two 60 minute rides with new shims, rekluse and original silencer with insert. Not one stall!! Works really good! :)
Haven't upgraded ECU yet, will do asap. Also thinking about going up one tooth front sprocket, have 12-50 atm.
Still 1,5 minutes slower on my 20 minute lap compared with my WR125. Wasting less and less energy and the trust in my new bike is growing, so I hope I'm getting there..

    Cool!

BTW that extra pipe you have is from a 2010 TE250. In 2010 the TC pipe was Ti.
