Ive seen conflicting into on what type of plug cap to use for these ignitions - resistor or non-resistor. I thought non-resistor types were better for older ignitions as they produce a better spark. However, one thread suggests the NGK LBER cap, which is silicone and water proof, but all the LBER's I see are resistor types. I see plenty of cheap NGK non-resistor types for $5.

This is for a motoplat coil with the red lead if that makes a difference.

I know Vance say's DON"T use resistor plugs with a motoplat so I would assume the same for the cap.

I didn't use resistor plugs or caps on my Motoplats. I don't use them on my new Power Dynamo systems either. Or on the Interspan's in the CCM's.
