I know I'm faster on a 250, but I always feel better and less worn out racing the '15 TE125/150. Spending the last year riding a sub 150 pound 125 trials bike, only makes lightness more of a priority.
I got skunked again with local dealer over new TE150..... He didn't order any last year, so they won't give him one this year! I just found a dealer with a '17, but he choked at taking my '16 KTM 200 in trade.

    Have fun!

I don't like the TC personally.... just my opinion.... why not just get a TE?

    I agree....

For me personally I don't like the moto feel in the woods.... to hard to ride fast.....

I rode my club's enduro trails today, with a 15 year old on a totally stock '17 TC125 and he doesn't mind the moto feel at all... super fast!

I recently went riding with a group, where the 16 year old was trail riding a Honda CR 500, and he had a cast on his broken right (throttle hand) wrist. He didn't seem to mind anything at all!

I took all the writing off the post because I'm thinking the reality is if a guy is fit in theory he should be able to ride a 250 two stroke faster then a 150....however a new 150 makes app. 42 horsepower which is incredible. In racing my 17 t.c 250 at the gnarly hills endure in Iowa this weekend(If you ever get a chance go to this race it is 60 miles of incredible terrain!!!) I realized two things....one is when a c rider messes up(in front of u)3 on a hill and u go off the side and bike dies.....electric start at that moment in time would be a blessing.......second....sometimes to much power is not a good thing....even with a flywheel weight and map wire disconnected....the t.c is a slight handful at times...sliding your a-- all over the place..lofting the front end at times occasionally when you don't want it to...etc...im still finishing in the top 25% overall and want to make a serious push next year as I contemplate retiring from racing....i want two bikes same size...so I either have a 18 t.c 125 and te 150 or a 17 t.c 250 and 17 or 18 te 250...overall speed means everything in this case just because of the final push next year...i am not losing because of skill at all. I am losing because of physical conditioning ....the te 250 I would leave the electric start and side stand....and put t.c front and rear fender...no odo...and t.c air fork on the te (saves four.pounds)...

dude don't retire from racing.....just allow yourself to stay inside the envelope of any given day. Sometimes I go and things are on and its fun and loose riding, some days not, I feel old and tired and its a tighter ride day- safe speed....its ok just go participate keep an eye out for guys in class....but don't fret over it when they roost by (if they do) and don't fight with the other guys just do your own thing...You are solid anyway and if you stay within yourself and challenge the course you will do good anyway, don't beat yourself up man. But continue to participate don't spectate!!! plus we are the ones that support the events, we need to keep supporting. This coming from the guy with the TX300 that has not raced it yet.....fall is coming I'll be back for sure.

Well I don't really mean retire....but ....my bucket list is to make double AA once...it pisses me off as I believe im the fastest guy in Minnesota that never quite pulled it off. But on a good note I know a few guys who actually did it at 50!! Next year I'm going to be pretty serious...i have a 28 21 and a 7 year old..and I guess as I cut back im hoping the seven year old will take my spot with mom and dad at the races...he has a Suzuki 50 and a husky 50 junior...ive got a race Sunday and this will be the first year since 2011 that I made all the endure and I'm gonna do the last two hate scrambles as well...its all good..knee braces have extended my racing..

FUN is key now. we aint going to be no Lafferty....but for sure we are also not laugh-at-me skill level at this point--- so F-U-N competition is key.

my dealer had a customer day at MX207 in Maine and it had a small trail loop and a amazing full out mx track with watering system etc and my TE 150 was amazing motor wise but all the lights and protection and enduro suspension was hurting me over the huge tables and doubles, did most every obstacle and no doubt I stayed out on the course longer than any one else.37 miles of moto at 55 years old.Now I need a 18 TC 125 to keep my 17 te 150 company.
