Hi all, I have a 2006 SM610 which is fairly stock except for full arrow exhaust and some airbox/ carb mods. The Fuel tank plastics that bolt on to the main tank have seized on one of the forward facing bolts such that the insert that's moulded into the main fuel tank rotates but the bolt doesn't loosen. Anyone any idea how get the bolt out (or even how to get the insert out and re-mount it back in to the fuel tank)? Many thanks

Remove the ones you can. Chuck the head of the offending screw in a drill and spin it. This will heat the plastic up enough around the insert that you can pull it out. Slowly pull on the shroud as you spin the insert. Afterwards, clean up the insert and JB weld it back in place. After I did this to my tank, I used clear silicone as a thread locker. Barely tighten the bolts and let the silicone dry. The JB weld on mine has held up so far for well over 5 years. Good luck.
