He is a stud should be awesome. Glad to see him back and trying something new. I'm sure he's very prepared
those daggone market folks in Japan should at least consider tweener size kits for their models....a YZ300(+ or - 25cc) would be brilliant.
Yamaha doesn't really give 2 sheeites about off road. They are all in for moto/supercross though. They are smart enough to make off road variants but not into race support. Gary Sutherlin just won 2 national championships on Yamaha, but the team only got a slight bulk discount and that was more the dealer working that deal. Yamaha didn't do anything, no parts even. Maybe that will change, but I will believe it when I see it.
Yea stumps me why they don't get more into enduro street legal stuff, cost maybe or no interest. The wr450 street legal would be a nice ride. So for now ktm/husky is the only real choice i guess which ain't that bad but more competition may drive prices down. $12k for a new bike and it keeps going up every year crazy imo
Agreed, that 450 motor is a beast. I would totally like to see that as a DS. Too bad they went the easy route and just have that heavy 250. Anyway, good to see some fresh blood in the Enduro world.
He didn't have the best luck with Yamaha after moving to the factory team, at least not the second season. Then went to Pramac Ducati before the injury. Really glad he's back racing something. I just read that he's on a team that Russell Bobbitt is doing.
