Pitting In Bottom Of 1975 Case - Can I Patch?

    This case from a 1975 WR 175cc. Can I patch this pitting? Fill it in with something like JB Weld? Or is there a danger of the filler breaking loose and ending up bearings, cogs, etc?

    The pitting does not go all the way through case. What is the common fix, if any? 20211028_094251 (1).jpg
