    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

This will be the final round of the AMA BIG 6 WEST COAST GRAND PRIX SERIES.

The Vikings M/C is proud to announce that Round 8 will be held December 1st and 2nd at Pala Raceway in Pala, CA. The Vikings have been searching hard for a new venue that was unique and new to the series. “We feel this venue brings a new and exciting opportunity for Big 6 and Pala”, said Jim Geddes with Vikings. The Pala Raceway has had the opportunity to host large events such as the AMA Outdoor Nationals. There is plenty of parking, exciting tracks and some new trails that are sure to contribute to an epic weekend of racing. The Pala Casino and Hotel is located right across the street. The Big 6 is a District 37 Grand Prix Organization that collectively sponsors 8 race events each year. The races attract over 1,000 entrants each round with a AMA Grand Prix points paying event. For further details check out www.big6racing.com

Cool! Stac and I will be there selling numbers, but I will sneak out this time. I missed the sponsor trucks at Gorman because I couldn't come off the track. This is the last race of the big 6, should be a good show. I'll brink lots of beer.
