I am in possession of an 02 570te in NYS. When I run the vin for my insurance company it is not in the system. One of the numbers is not the right character, but if I fudge that one digit to a (xyz) I played with it one day and it came up 01 cagiva wxe blah blah. Wtf. The vin was not altered visibly... If I purchase a 570 frame on freebay from the UK with "logbook" will I have a platform with paperwork that I can register and insure in WNY? Obviously proper equipment yadda sorry for my boorish attempt at English and thanks for your time. Been a long-time husky owner, I want to replace my Honda !
Hi, The very first VIN number for the 570's from the parts list is, ZCGH601AA1V5907 The tenth number from the left is the year. So 1 is 01. The last 4 numbers I believe are the only numbers that change. Cheers, Dave.
Try a different insurance company.... I have had a bunch of Huskys, including '00 WR250 and '01 TE400 insured with Progressive.
