• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

We had a few Husqvarnas ready for battle at the Shedd GP (Sat) and XC (Sun). I missed the Sunday action so I could go to a nearby Vintage MX race. Heres some shots from Saturday.

Our 50 Ex 1r 310R ready for battle...

450 ready to rip in the Beginner class (C)...unfortunately he took a few soil samples, mangled one hand guards and then stalled it...but he soldiered on. (Results when I get them)

Afternoon race Overall winner Tyler Foley's well aged 125. Tyler holeshot the second wave, managed to get by the 50 Expert in front on the first loop and disappeared. A year ago he couldnt touch the ground, now he almost can, but doesnt need to ....I guess MX racing is good practice for GPs.

50 Ex Battle, we ended up 2nd after a foray into the brush Mark never could find a way back by D Winters on the 300.

As promised...Results.

Mark on the TXC310R was 2nd 50 Expert Saturday (GP) and 3rd on Sunday (XC) after an unfortunate stall and problems restarting (Bill is looking into it now)
Tyler Foley went 1 and 1 in the Open Am class on his 125/144
Paul Salvatori on the 450 3rd Beginner (1st Series rider)
and Troffer 88 scored on Sunday with a 4th in 40Am (says HSQ on the results....is this true Tim? or was it the GG)

At the GP season halfway point, Mark is holding down First for the 3rd year in a row, and Paul is tied for 1st in his rookie year. Tyler is primarily an MX rider so he isnt in the points hunt and Tim is just out there having fun once in a while.

Thank you for the mention! :)
My first race at the Shedd.
so I made sure to take a good tree and soil sample on my first lap. Then decided after that, it was prudent to make sure I know the rest of the track well.... a few more light soil sample's.... my first tree sample was very good, so no more were needed.
My Husqvarna ran great, I need to pilot her better in the tight stuff. a rough go at the Shedd
I look forward to the next time at the Shedd.

I happened to see your slideout in the field, and then the stall coming out of the woods. Nice job of keeping your head in the game and continuing on for a solid finish. Shedd is certainly a whole different kettle of fish compare to Eddieville where you usually ride.
