Oil leak

    The bike is a 84 wr400 and my problem is that while on the side stand, it will leak trans fluid. I thought the leak was from around the gasket. resealed and still leaked. Then I saw that it was coming from the weep hole behind the water pump seal. The cover is a newer one with 2 bearings for the water pump. I had put new bearings in with the sealed bearing going in first and the open one by the crank. Did I have the bearings in wrong? Do I need to silicone the sealed bearing? anyone have this problem?
