I have a 2010 TXC250 and i'm about ready to just take it to a shop, that's how frustrating it is.

It was running when I bought it but the stator was bad so it wouldn't charge the battery. That was back 9 months ago and it hasn't run since.

the parts I've replaced for ignition are as follows: USED stator, new coil, new plug wire and boot, new spark plug.

I Have no idea what is wrong with the bike, I have checked my grounds and connectors to make sure they're good, but I really don't know what else it could be at this point.

I'm wondering if maybe it could be a problem with the flywheel? I haven't looked at that yet but it was working before I took it all apart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I took apart the terminals for every fuse and cleaned everything like i was on cocaine. What could it be at this point? I'm confused because it ran when i took it apart. My next move is to take apart every connector I find that related to ignition and clean the hell out of them.

Here's to hoping I'll be able to put a second hour the bike after 9 months.

EDIT #2 Problem fixed. wire was grounding out to another wire in the wiring harness. ECU reset and it's sparking, now to fix the terrible bottom end bog it has.

It hasn't run since you put the used stator in?

While rebuilding my 2013 250R, I gave the frame a quick power wash with the electrics/injection system still in place. After putting it together I checked the spark with the coil out and all was good. Once it was together, it somehow lost spark and I just couldn't get it again. After going through everything (Checking starter, coil, earths, no fuses broken etc..) it came down to the smallest bit of corrosion on the ignition circuit fuse (most likely from the power wash) that stopped a good connection on the terminal.

Sanded off the corrosion and got the spark again!

Might be worth double checking all earths, fuses and plugs making sure all connections are good and shiny.

I checked my fuses but like you said the smallest bit of corrosion could cause it. Ill look at that.

Do you think the used stator you put in make be the problem?
I might have a stator I could lend you to try.

I appreciate the willingness to help but I took it into Bills Motorcycle Plus a few days ago and they will be looking at it for me.

Also check the flywheel key is not sheared.

It will make your spark timing out. If you try turning the bike over with the spark plug out (plug body grounded to the block) you can check the spark function even if the timing is out.

Fixed! not the flywheel key, after a few hours I found a tiny bit of corrosion on the connector for the ECU

    cool,

Let me ask you a silly question.

How do you get the connector out of the ECU?

I'm having a real tough time with it.

Use a flat head screwdriver to push on the tab while you pull on it. Two sets of hand help as the connection is sealed and is relatively hard to pull off.

    I got it out.

    Cleaned and dieletric greased it.
