My bike seem to run fine the 1/2hour I rode it. Will wait and see if needed but some claim it is needed right away. If bike runs good why change.

Then when you have to spend your beer money because a reed has broken off and fallen inside the motor we can hear from you. Plus most people want there bike running properly not having to constantly adjust there jetting....

Are they that bad? Are the standard reeds the same as older models ?

Ok I see now - they are saying there is also a problem with the some reeds not sealing properly . I guess its something you can check .

Most of the problem is with the inferior reed cage that KTM and Husqvarna built thinking they could save some money by building it themselves. The oem reed cage is made of plastic and is warped. Most people are lightly sanding the cage. This is only a bandaid to the problem. This makes it difficult to jet. Mototassinari V4R26 reeds are much better quality and the surface that the reeds seal to is coated in a rubber material as well as they have reed stops....People getting the V4R26 reeds will not regret it.....

Ahahaha, I know you're right and I was trying to sound casual about it with the beer and bbq comment. When in fact, I have always planned to get a better cage/reed set up. I have been following the issue on KTMTalk since member Lonewolf orginally brought it up early last year. I've seen all the youtube vids from ktmandhusky and slavens. No way Im not swapping cage/reeds.
