Just out playing around again in the highlands of Cebu on my 08 WR250 Italian made Husky, when suddenly, without any warning, one of the newer roads created here about ~3 yrs ago, is being re-graded(Yea). So I cruise down it on my Husqvarna dirtbike, and find a fork in the road where no previous fork had existed before(Yea again). It is Christmas, right?

Here's a couple google earth maps of the area... These maps are great and much more than past generations but you are also see their shortcomings... These pics also show how small this island is as compared to Montana or even GPNF and most any other place in the states where a dirtbike can roam. I'm AOK with riding my dirt bike from my front door, out to this area in the middle of the island and back again in a single day for sure.

Here's a view of the area... 'Start' marks the waterfall AO and really about the extent of where the dozer is at now; The start of the new road is about 100 yrds to the rear of this point.

Word that I am getting today is that the dozer will go down to the river below... Yea again.. The bottom of those valleys are not gonna be passable so the road will have to weave up and over and along that spur where the road currently is at.

Some pics that should explain some of the land marks in the map above.

Original road that was re-graded heading off into this valley and the sitio in the valley; Yep, it is much steeper than it looks here.

Razorback Ridge is the MID ridgeline shown here.

You can get a little better idea here on the steepness here with the road disappearing

AllenTown Ridge in the background and that small spur there on the right side is the dividing line of the 2 small creeks that feed the waterfall. It's about 1600' high and drops to about 1100' at the top of the falls. With only this small area feeding the creek and falls below, the water is gonna rise and fall quickly, making it very difficult for an outsider like me to be on location to see the water rushing+gushing down to and over the falls.

Dirt. Looks sooo good to my Husky! Smells as good as it looks also.

Pretty good view of the steepness of that plateau created here for a basketball court. To the right you can see the tail of the new road that is being pushed. Again, there is a walking path there and it there is a path, there is most likely the need for a road there.

My worn-out knobby. Not sure what these rocks are really because you can bust them to pieces easily with a hammer.

Here's the feeder creeks for the waterfalls..

Same creek just a different ~crossing point
    20191221_023856.jpg

Without crew; The creek heading to the falls is just view-able on the right
    20191221_022809.jpg

Crew arrives on the scene! This dirt is getting a little clayey but still OK.

That crossing is gnarly and really soft and deep so, with that worn out knobby, no crossing today.

More down&dirty looks at this last feeder creek that crosses the new road.

Make no mistake; That 250cc 2T Husky chews all shown here up into pieces and spits it out the rear.
    20191221_022300.jpg

I'll have a new knobby for sure on my return trip here

There's a view of the creek heading off to the water falls..

The waterfall and small rock-bottom creek leading to the falls. As shallow as this creek is due to the almost 100% solid-rock bottom, any water rushing across it has got to be a spectacular view, along with sound.

Here's a small waterfall along the way to the big falls. This might be run-off water from the rains but there just might be a natural spring feeding the water here.
    20191223_013206.jpg

Just past that pool, is sort of the event horizon of the falls
    20191221_022338.jpg

It's a long, gnarly drop for sure over this one
    20191221_022507.jpg

Right above my seat and the weeds, there is a view of the falls from across the valley. As steep a drop it is and as small a drainage area and as hidden as it is, probably only the locals here ever see water going over here very often.

Here's the top side of this road. Different dozer and a different BRGY(county) here doing this work. This model CAT is ~170 horses @1,900 RPMs, 3 speed forward gearing with 7.4MPH topend. 3 reverse gears and 9.5 MPH topend. Weights-in at ~40,000 LBS.

Don't know his work schedule but I should have met this driver a couple yrs ago out here. I'm about the only foreigner out here in these parts so if we have met, he'll remember me I'm sure. Friday is the day I think I'll cruise back over to this AO and get some first hand action of this CAT in operation.
