  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I recently purchased an 08 250 txc with some mods (uptite skid plate, steering stab., cycra hand guards). I am new to Huskys (mostly a KTM guy, but undergoing a conversion of sorts ;) What should I look out for as far as problems or simple mods that may increase my trail riding experience? I heard there is a 310 kit for it...I'm very interested.

thanks

Welcome aboard Adam. I'm sure you're going to love that new Husky. You already have a good start with a few good parts. Athena makes a 300 kit for you're bike, you could purchase the kit from George at Uptite or Kelly at Motosportz, these are people you should get to know even if you don't go with the 300 kit.

The TXC250 is a fantastic bike. Does most everything well. The 300 kit is uber cool. I had an 06 TC250 with it installed and it ripped.

- We have the 300 kit in stock.

i just ordered a pc racing proseal air filter gasket for my KTM and was wondering if they made one for the husky...or if the universal seal will fit? Motosportz? (what happened to the 450 "rip"?)

We sell a really nice Moose filter with a neoprene gasket built in. Works awesome and a durable filter.

Loved that bike but sold it to get this little gem. As I ride 90% tight single track and wanted to get off my butt and have to ride I thought this would be a fun change.
