  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

This is a Quote from Moto Magazine here in the UK that I purchased as it had a article on the Husqvarna factory.

Realistically it takes three or four years to develop and launch brand new motorcycles. But at the Cologne bike show we will show our first new bike, a 300cc with direct injection and electric starting, By 2014 every bike will be new and best in class.
Extreme enduro rider German Andreas Letinbichler will debut a prototype of the new 300 smoker in competition this year.

I dont know if this is old or new news to some of you! but I thought it may be of some interest to some members here
I personally think its just Walt (wallybean) getting carried away with his 167 and has now stuffed a huge stroker kit in there :lol:

:lol: It'll be a race to Grantville for the first one! Me from NC and you from PA!!! I'll get the NC National Guard to fly me into the Gap via helicopter to snag that first one! My son is an air traffic controller in the PA guard at Indiantown Gap, 2 miles from Toy Tech. You don't stand a chance!!! :D
 
BUT both of you want a ebutton and those bikes take longer to make .I do not want the e button so it will
be built first Then I will get a bike before you

Oh I see.....pullin the National Guard card on me......:eek: I'll just take the second one.....no need to break out the big guns......:notworthy:

:lol: My "plan B" was to bribe Chris to put the first DI 300 on the roof on a Tuesday (Scott's day off)... then extract the booty with a "black ops" helicopter that would subsequently drop the bike directly into my Mom's back yard... one valley North of Grantville!

Real men kick. No E-button smoker for me! Looks like it'll be a real competition for that 1st bike! :D
 
I hate waiting......guess I will settle for a WR125 this summer. Maybe I will pick up another holdover WR300 when the new ones come out.
 
direct injected 300 smoker ? e-start? maybe 6-speed ??? my 2011 wr 300 is awesome but put me on the list for that new one !!
