  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 2013 TXC310R....Me 3

robertaccio

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Pulled the trigger after a few weeks long demo/test ride sesh.
I really needed to get some serious seat time on the new model the engines are so much different. Chassis of course is very familiar. Will swap out common update stuff from my 2011 and will need to spring the rear (my 11 has a 6.2) for my fat arse, I think the forks may be OK with the oem .47s my TE has .48s but it is heavier oa and heavier up front.
This bike is going to work well for me. robertaccio out.

"Out" you can't be out.....I need to hear how it runs, feels, will it play at MX, etc :D. Oh, BTW big CONGRATS :applause:.

Congratulations!:applause: Glad you like it. The initial feel of the machine was a bit too hard hitting for my tastes. I'll stick with my li'l threehoney!

I'm definitely tempted to pick up a 2013 310R before they are obsoleted. I love my '11 and the 13s are suhweeeeeet!

Still need to get used to the way the motor operates, my 2011 TE310 is a torquey beast with gobs of bottom end, the red head is more racy thing but after this few weeks of play time I'm finding out that you can ride a gear up in the soft spot without upsetting the chassis and without the thing falling on its face. If an obstacle comes up she powers up fast with a little clutch slip for up and over rocks and stuff. The lighter weight is also a good factor in hopping up and over things. Im going to see if I can put my spring from my Sachs onto the KYB shock (I think it will fit) and should be all she needs for now to get good Vinduro spec sag measurments.

I REALLY liked the 2013 310R I rode. i think i preferred the slightly softer less abrupt low end and screaming top end output.

Thanks robertacco and K. I may have to pick up one then. Did not know it had the TC suspension. I just play a MX at my age and have a 2010 TC250. Up till now it's still my favorite bike on the mX track.

I ride my 2012 TXC 310 on the MX track and it works very well.

Thanks and I figured it would. I just wasn't sure if I would have to do a lot to the suspension to make it work. The TXC310 or Sherco 300 both sound exactly what I'm looking for.
