DirtDame coming to the rescue on all my questions! My rear break needs to be pumped in order to engage and even then it is super spongy. I bled and re-filled break fluid with the help of a mechanic (As it was my first time) and still the same issue. Would you say conclusively I need a new cylinder or are there other diagnostics I should do to determine the issue and if I need a different/other parts?

I had a pressure loss issue with my 2011 WR 300. It seemed to have to do with the rear caliper. I ended up flushing the system and inspecting/cleaning the O rings on the piston assembly. That seemed to clear up the problem.
